AhsayOBM Backup: Failed to commit journal due to block write error

Symptom

When performing a backup of any type, the following error message is received in the backup report:

Cause

The message suggests that there was an issue writing to the allocated data block.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Patch the AhsayOBM / ACB application to version 7.15.2.2 or above.
  2. Perform a Data Integrity Check for the affected backup set afterward.
  3. Perform the backup again to see if the problem persists.

This issue affects a legacy version of our software. We strongly recommend upgrading to the latest AhsayCBS and AhsayOBM release (v9.15.0.0, as of 2025/May/15) for improved performance, compatibility, and security.
