Symptom
For VMware and Hyper-V VM backup sets with the Granular Restore option enabled, or file backup sets with the OpenDirect option enabled:
The Granular Restore / OpenDirect option is disabled unexpectedly, after editing the backup set's setting with UpdateBackupSet.do XML API calls.
User should not be able to modify the OpenDirect and Granular Restore settings after the backup set is created.
Cause
This is a known issue with AhsayCBS version pre-7.15.4.10.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, patch the AhsayCBS application to version 7.15.4.10 or above.
This issue affects a legacy version of our software. We strongly recommend upgrading to the latest AhsayCBS and AhsayOBM release (v9.15.0.0, as of 2025/May/15) for improved performance, compatibility, and security.
