AhsayOBM could not launch due to missing MSVCP140.dll

Symptom

When opening AhsayOBM Client UI on a Windows Machine, the following error prompt:

unable-open-obm-gui-missing-msvcp140-dll.jpg

Cause

The issue is due to an issue with Windows Latest CU updates, where the .NET libraries are updated incorrectly

Resolution

Ahsay released the following unofficial hotfix to tackle this issue. Please apply it to AhsayCBS and enable Auto-update for the corresponding backup users to resolve: (This fix will be bundled in AhsayCBS v10.1.2 Official release)

  1. All hotfix packages are cumulative, the latest one will include all the fixes in the previous ones.
  2. Conduct basic testing before rolling out hotfixes to production systems.
  3. Deploy hotfixes to only the affected production systems. (For CBS AUA Hotfix, disabling AUA for each user before updating would be a good practice.)
