How to migrate AhsayOBS v6 users to a new AhsayCBS instance

Migrating users from an AhsayOBS v6 environment to a new AhsayCBS instance can be done by following the steps below. Before proceeding, please ensure that backup users are on v6.29. If backup users are using a lower version, you can proceed with the migration but it is not recommended.

1. Set up the new AhsayCBS server

   Install and configure the new AhsayCBS server. Make sure that AhsayCBS was installed successfully and that the web console is accessible.

2. Add user home directories in AhsayCBS

   Log in to AhsayCBS.

   Go to Basic > Backup / Restore, then add the required user home directory.

3. Copy user folders from AhsayOBS v6

   Locate the user home directory in the AhsayOBS v6 server.

   Copy the folder of each user and place it in the corresponding user home directory in the new AhsayCBS server.

4. Restart the AhsayCBS service

   After copying all required user data, restart the AhsayCBS service to load the newly added user information.

5. Verify user migration

   Finally, log in to AhsayCBS and check the user list. Confirm that the migrated v6 users are now visible and accessible in the new AhsayCBS instance.
