In-File Delta incremental / differential backup

Both AhsayOBM and AhsayACB client agents are equipped with our proprietary In-File Delta block-level incremental / differential backup feature for reducing the backup window required during the backup of large data. With this feature enabled, only the changed portions within a file (i.e. changed data blocks) will be backed up. The size of the changed blocks is usually 5 - 10% of the original file, which makes each backup able to complete much quicker than full backup.

AhsayOBM

For AhsayOBM, users can choose to enable or disable this In-File Delta feature, and choose to use Incremental or Differential mode. Advanced Settings are available for users to override In-File Delta with full backup on selected days.

Besides configuring the In-File Delta settings through the AhsayOBM client interface, an AhsayOBM user or a system administrator can also login to the AhsayCBS web console and modify the In-File Delta settings of a backup set through AhsayCBS.

AhsayACB

For AhsayACB, users cannot enable or disable this feature within the AhsayACB user interface, as we believe that workstation backup users shouldn't have to worry about this setting. Instead, their corresponding AhsayCBS administrator should take of it for those workstation backup users. So, for AhsayACB, the In-File Delta settings can only be modified in AhsayCBS web console. See the following screenshot for the In-File Delta settings for an AhsayACB's backup set in AhsayCBS.
