Perform a file backup test on Linux GUI (AMBaaS version)

Please use the following steps to backup files using AhsayOBM on Linux GUI.

  1. Open AhsayOBM.
  2. Enter the root password.
  3. Enter your credentials to login. Click OK.
  4. From the AhsayOBM home screen, select Backup Sets.
  5. Click the [+] sign to create a new backup set.
  6. Rename the file backup set or use the default name provided.
  7. Keep the default selection for backup set type. Click Next.
  8. Unselect the default selection for backup source. Click I would like to choose the files to backup.
  9. Tick the "Show Files" checkbox so files will appear and select the files and/or folders you aim to backup. Click OK, then Next to continue.
  10. Click the Add button to create a new backup schedule or use the default schedule provided. Click Next.
  11. Select a backup mode, then click the [+] sign to add a new storage destination. Click OK, then Next.
  12. Keep the default setting for Encryption. Click Next.
  13. Keep a copy of your encryption key.
  14. Click Confirm.
  15. You now have the option to backup your files by clicking Backup now.
  16. Or click Close and wait for AhsayOBM to backup your files on the schedule you set it on.
