Limitations

  1. The ONLY supported backup and restore mode is the “Database Mode”.
  2. Databases must be disconnected first before doing an automatic restore using the original database name to the same location, otherwise the restore will fail.
  3. Restoring of database from Machine 1 to Machine 2 is not supported in PostgreSQL.
  4. In AhsayCBS backup set creation, since AhsayCBS is not necessarily located on the machine that has PostgreSQL installed, no "Change" button will be added. Users can still input a path if they know the installation directory of PostgreSQL on the client machine when creating a backup set in AhsayCBS.
  5. Databases from older versions can be restored to newer versions of PostgreSQL. However, PostgreSQL newer versions cannot be restored to older versions.
