Ahsay™ Backup Software, v5.5.5.0 (19-Oct-2009). 

You are recommended to upgrade to this version if the enhancements or the bug fixes listed below are beneficial to you. Otherwise, you may stay with your current version.


  •  Known Issues 

    • After upgrading AhsayOBS to v5.5.3.x or above, AhsayRPS must also be upgraded to v5.5.3.x or above for new features in AhsayOBS v5.5.3.x to work correctly, though AhsayOBS v5.5.5.0 can still work with AhsayRPS pre v5.5.3.x releases.
    • This version of AhsayOBS may not work correctly on Mac OS X.
    • This version fixes the problem that AhsayOBS incorrectly deletes checksum files and delta files after running Rebuild User Storage. The deletion is triggered when Rebuild User Storage runs; once it happens, the chain of delta will be broken and Full File/s need to be uploaded in the next backup. All customers running AhsayOBS v5.5.3.x should upgrade to this version.

    You are recommended to upgrade to this version if the enhancements or the bug fixes listed below are beneficial to you. Otherwise, you may stay with your current version.


  •  Known Issues 

    • The index structure of AhsayOBS v5.5.3.1 has been updated. Due to this, a migration from the old structure to the new index structure will be required. The migration may require quite a bit of resources to complete, so there may be an impact to the performance during this period, especially when there is large number of user accounts. We recommend stopping the replication service and weekly user storage rebuild job during index structure migration. All users are recommended to first test running this release on a testing server before actually upgrading the production servers. 
    • If you encounter problems during index migration, please refer to Ahsay Discussion Forum topic #3864 for instructions.
    • After upgrading AhsayOBS to v5.5.3.1, AhsayRPS must also be upgraded to v5.5.3.1 for new features in AhsayOBS v5.5.3.0/v5.5.3.1 to work correctly, though AhsayOBS v5.5.3.1 can still work with AhsayRPS pre v5.5.3.1 releases.

     Ahsay Backup Software, v5.5.1.0 (20-Aug-2008). 

    Since this is the first release of the v5.5 series, all users are recommended to first test running this release on a testing server before actually upgrading the production servers. Users are also recommended NOT to enable auto upgrading of AhsayOBM / AhsayACB straight after the AhsayOBS v5.5 upgrade. AhsayOBS v5.5 will work happily with AhsayOBM / AhsayACB of earlier releases. It is wise to upgrade to AhsayOBS v5.5 alone and let it run for a few days to make sure that the system exhibits no problems before auto upgrading AhsayOBM / AhsayACB. This way, in case you happens to run into problems, you can safely fallback to your old release without being required to downgrade all AhsayOBM / AhsayACB on client computers to the old release manually.
